If you plan to carry out any construction work in Australia - whether as a labourer, tradie, apprentice, or site visitor - you must hold a valid White Card. This applies to construction, demolition, renovations, and even site inspections. A Traffic Control site also fits this definition of a construction site.

About The Course
Participants will receive appropriate training to obtain a SafeWork NSW White Card Licence.
There are no specified entry requirements for this training program except that students must be aged 14 years or older. SafeWork NSW criteria also requires a basic comprehension of English, including the ability to both read and write in English.
Students will also need:
- A Unique Student Identifier (USI). To create or find your USI number please go tothe USI website and follow the instructions
- To be able to provide 100 points of ID - please refer to the100 points of ID sheet for acceptable forms of id. Note that if it's not on the sheet it cannot be used.
Training Outline - What You'll Learn
You'll learn how to recognise hazards, apply risk control measures, select correct PPE, and understand your rights and responsibilities under WHS law. Upon successful completion, you'll receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment and have your White Card processed through SafeWork NSW.
Students will learn to:
- Identify health and safety legislative requirements of construction work
- Identify construction hazards and risk control measures
- Identify health and safety communication and reporting processes
- Identify incident and emergency response procedures

Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Legislation
- Understanding roles, rights, and responsibilities under WHS law
- Recognising duty of care obligations
- Safe work practices in construction
Hazard Identification & Risk Control
- Basics of risk management
- Identifying common construction hazards
- Using and demonstrating personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Applying hazard control measures
WHS Communication & Reporting
- Identifying WHS documents (e.g., policies, procedures, checklists)
- Understanding the role of health and safety personnel
- Recognising safety signs and symbols
- Reporting hazards, incidents, and injuries
Incident & Emergency Response
- Responding to on-site emergencies
- Accessing and using first aid
- Identifying fire safety equipment and its uses

Outcome/Qualifications
123 Training Solutions conduct the SafeWork NSW White Card Course in partnership with and on behalf of Commonsense Safety Training (RTO Number: 41347). Commonsense Safety Training is not CRICOS Registered. For information on privacy see their Privacy Notice.
Successful participants will receive a Statement of Attainment recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework for the following unit of competency:
- CPCWHS1001 - Prepare to work safely in the construction industry
Age Requirements
Participants are required to be 14 years of age to enrol in a SafeWork NSW White Card course.
Literacy Requirements
- Participants will need to have effective language skills, including written and spoken communication.
- Participants who may require additional assistance with language, literacy or numeracy, should get in touch with us prior to booking to discuss what options are available.
Class Size
Maximum class size is limited to 20 people. Regular public courses are contingent on a minimum of 6 students. We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel these courses due to a lack of participants. Should this happen, we will always notify students of this decision a minimum of 1 weeks prior to the day of the scheduled course.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
To ensure fair access to our White Card training and to manage limited class sizes, the following per person fees apply to cancellations or rescheduling requests:
- 48 hours or more before the course: No fee for cancellations or rescheduling.
- Less than 48 hours before the course: 50% of the course fee applies to cancellations or rescheduling.
No-Show Policy
- Participants who do not attend their scheduled course without prior notice will forfeit their full course fee.
Refunds will be issued for eligible cancellations, minus any applicable administration fees.
