How to Get Your Traffic Control Ticket in Tamworth

What to Wear for Traffic Control Training
When attending a Traffic Control course in Tamworth, it's important to dress appropriately for both safety and comfort. Please wear comfortable clothing and high-visibility (hi-vis) attire suitable for an active training environment. Fully enclosed footwear is essential – no open-toed shoes or sandals are permitted.
Parts of the training is conducted outdoors, so we recommend bringing a hat and sunglasses to protect yourself from the sun. If wet weather is forecast, please bring a rain jacket or suitable wet-weather gear, as training may continue in light rain. Being prepared will help ensure your comfort and safety throughout the course.

Outcome/Qualifications
123 Training Solutions delivers this course in partnership with Commonsense Safety Training (RTO code 41347). Commonsense Safety Training is not CRICOS Registered.
The combined course results in the following two skill sets:
- RIISS00054 – Traffic Controller: Control traffic with a stop/slow bat and coordinate safe vehicle and pedestrian movements through roadwork zones.
- RIISS00055 – Implement Traffic Control Plans: Set up, modify, and monitor Traffic Control Plans (TCPs) to ensure roadwork sites operate safely and comply with regulatory requirements.
Successful participants receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for:
- RIIWHS201D – Work safely and follow WHS policies and procedures
- RIICOM201D – Communicate in the workplace
- RIIWHS205E – Control traffic with stop/slow bat
- RIIWHS206 – Control traffic with portable traffic control devices and temporary traffic signs
- RIIRIS301E – Apply risk management process
- RIIWHS302E – Implement traffic management plans
- RIIWHS303 – Position, set up and program portable traffic devices
Students receive a temporary certificate allowing them to work immediately while awaiting their SafeWork NSW card.

Traffic Control Training for Tamworth & New England Region
This Traffic Control Course is delivered in Tamworth and is ideal for students travelling from surrounding areas including Gunnedah, Armidale, Narrabri, Inverell, and the New England region.
Our Tamworth training venue provides practical traffic control training in a real-world environment designed to prepare students for work on civil construction and roadwork sites.

Payment Terms
Payment must be received at least 7 days prior to the course commencement date. Bookings that remain unpaid after this date may be cancelled and the position offered to another participant.
Cancellation, Rescheduling, & No-Show Policy
To support fair scheduling and course access for all participants, the following per person conditions apply:
- 7 or more days before the course: Cancel for a full refund, or reschedule at no charge.
- Less than 7 days before the course: Cancel for a 50% refund, or reschedule once at no charge.
- Less than 48 hours before the course: No refund for cancellations. Rebooking is available for 25% of the course fee.
- On the day of training or non-attendance: No refund for cancellations. Rebooking is available for 50% of the course fee.
A reminder SMS is sent to participants prior to their scheduled training.
Refunds will be issued for eligible cancellations, minus any applicable fees.
