Who Is This Course For?
This course is aimed at workers who will manually push, pull, carry, lift or restrain heavy objects. It is also aimed at site supervisor's, who are required by legislation to identify, assess and control workplace hazards such as risk of injury caused by manual handling.
About the Course
This manual handling course satisfies State OHS Act and Regulation duty of care requirements and State WorkCover Authority Audits. The course contains information on basic principles of safe manual handling techniques and movements of loads when shifting materials on a day to day basis.
It will offer course participants an understanding of OHS, muscle function and risk reduction and control measures.
Participants should be able to speak and understand English as all the course material, training notes and assessments are done in English.
Qualifications
123 Training Solutions conduct Manual Handling courses in partnership with and on behalf of Raise Training (RTO Number: 91655).
Successful participants will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment:
- TLID1001 - Shift materials safely using manual handling methods
Course Duration
The course duration is approximately three (3) hours and includes a written assessment as well as a practical demonstration of correct lifting techniques.

- Payment is due prior to commencing training and can be done either online beforehand or in person on the day.
